Yacht

This project started by being inspired by the boat shown in a TV show that won me over with its thorough design. By using this inspiration of another design I could then reengineer to make an amazing model. A company called Fairline make reasonably sized yachts that would fit my skills in solidworks for the time given. Therefore I used their boats body to trace out a sufficient one for my boat. By tracing the boat’s body the design will be very similar and quick to make. The Boats design consists of 3 deck levels and many different rooms for different needs. There is a viewing platform above the main floor where there is a lounging area and a driver’s alternate driving position outside. On deck 2 the main floor there is a small kitchen area as you walk in from outside for visiting the bar. Towards the bow there is another driver’s seat fitted with navigational monitoring screens. The lounge is fitted with a 50 inch plasma screen, and just beyond towards the bow a dining room is there to seat six individuals. Below on Deck 1 there is a variety of accommodation. On deck 1 there are 2 master bedrooms and 2 guest bedrooms. Both Guest rooms have a single bed with a bathroom to themselves and both master bedrooms have a king size bed with larger bathrooms. At the very stern of the boat an engine room is located on deck 1 to access maintenance requirements. This can be found by opening the hatch in corridor. The boat has three propellers as seen through the research stage. This boat is supposed to have 2 Caterpillar C32-1622 Shaft Diesel which each have 1,622mhp which can achieve a total of 35 knots.
